We are a small kennel located in the hills of Western
New York. All of our dogs live in the house and the puppies are
raised there too as part of our family. They have access to 63 acres
of property, which includes a pond for them to swim in and horse
trails for exercising, as well as a one acre fenced yard.
In 1984 we purchased our first Cardigan Corgi, a blue merle male
named Mesquite. He became the love of our lives, but to our chagrin
he died two years later. However we were hooked on the breed and
purchased another blue merle male the following year. He became
our constant companion, accompanying us to our tack shop each day
and attending horse shows. His name was Rory and he lived to the
ripe old age of twelve, when we lost him to cancer in 2000. Once
Again we were on the hunt for a replacement and at this time found
two wonderful males - both blue merles from a breeder in Arkansas (Pecan Valley Kennels and Betty Ann Seely),
one of whom turned out to be a show dog.
Since that time there have been many other lovely dogs, and we
bred our first litter in 2005. At this time, we realized that we
needed a kennel name and Rory came to mind, thus the name Roragyn.
Our first litter was comprised of two males and five females, all
brindle and white, resulting in three champions, and all featured
on this site. Rory and Tuffy were Winner's Bitch and Reserve Winner's
Dog at the 2006 Cardigan Welsh Corgi of America National Specialty,
respectively, and since then have gone on to win many Best Of Breed
competitions and group placements on the January Circuit in Florida
in 2007 and throughout the country. Tuffy has also sired some lovely puppies who
can be seen here.
